Equipment Operators
Career opportunities for equipment operators continue to remain strong throughout the industry, and particulary at ADB. ADB requires the services of trained and experienced horizontal directional drill (HDD) operators from small to large size rigs. Backhoe, trackhoe, trencher, vacuum excavator and dozer plow train operators also are in demand. All ADB equipment operators are required to possess an "A" Class Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Drill Operators
ADB is a pioneer in the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method of underground pipe, conduit and cable installation. ADB is always seeking experienced drill operators with particular familarity oerating all sizes of Ditch Witch and Vermeer drilling equipment. All ADB drill operators are required to possess a Class "A" commercial Driver License (CDL).
Drill Locators (Leads)
ADB horizontal directional drilling locators are the lead members of HDD crews. They have the responsibility, and corresponding compensation, of generating underground productivity while avoiding damage to existing underground facilities and maintaining a constant focus on operating in a safe working environment. Ideal qualifying drill locators will have knowledge and experience with DigiTrak and SubSite locating equipment. All ADB drill locators are required to possess a Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Aerial & Underground Linemen
ADB has an on-going need for experienced communications and power linemen. Aerial linemen are responsible for installing coax, copper and fiber optic cable in the communication zone of terminal poles. Experienced aerial linemen should be trained pole climbers and bucket truck operators. Underground linemen are responsible for pulling fiber optic and electric cable through underground conduit, tying in and terminating electric cable. All ADB linemen are required to possess a Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Splicers
ADB employs the services of coax, copper and fiber optic cable splicers experienced with single strand and ribbon splicing. All ADB cable splicers are required to possess a Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Mechanics
ADB employs vehicle and equipment mechanics in all three ADB offices (St. Louis & Union, Missouri, & Jacksonville, Florida). Vehicle mechanics should be experienced with maintenance and repair of all types and sizes of pick-up, dump and bucket trucks and other company vehicles. Equipment mechanics should have knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of Ditch Witch & Vermeer directional drills, backhoes & trackhoes, trenchers, rock saws, bucket assemblies and other miscellaneous equipment.
Crew Leaders
Crew Leaders are generally promoted from within the ranks of ADB existing employees who have demonstrated leadership ability and task knowledge. All drill, pull, tie-in, aerial, open-cut, underground and restoration crews have crew leaders responsible for the productive, efficient and safe performance of fellow crew members. They are responsible for leading the efforts of the crew and for communicating company policy, information and safety practices to crew members.
Aerial & Underground Supervisors
Aerial & Underground Supervisors are experienced professionals with proven track records of performance, training and leadership. These invididuals are generally promoted from within the ranks of existing ADB employees. Supervisors are usually responsible for the performance of multiple crews on specific projects or tasks. All ADB supervisors are required to maintain a valid Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Project Managers
ADB Project Managers are experienced professionals at managing underground and aerial construction projects from start to finish. They have overall responsibility for the productive, profitable, safe and on-time completion of assigned company construction projects. These salaried field management personnel possess excellent communication, leadership, training and problem-solving skills. Their effective utilization of schedules, equipment and personnel determine the success of every project. All ADB Project Managers have completed OSHA 30-Hour Certification and maintain valid Class "A" Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL).
Administrative/Clerical Professionals
ADB utilizes the services of several professional accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, compliance, human resource and reception & filing personnel. Applications from experienced administrative and clerical personnel are always being accepted to fill future personnel needs.
